Valheim Control Panel

Connect your Nitrado-hosted server

1 · Nitrado API token

Create a long-life token in the Nitrado Developer Portal . Tick the service permissions — general control, settings (read + write), logs and file browser — so every tab works. The token stays on this PC and is only ever sent to Nitrado.

A token is already saved. Paste a new one to replace it.

2 · Your server

Loading your Nitrado servers…

Can't see it? Enter the service ID by hand

Open your server's page on nitrado.net and copy the number from the address bar: …/services/1234567

3 · Live map token (optional)

Only needed if the ValheimOne plugin has an AccessToken set. It is kept in this browser and used only to read the live map's status and player list.

Known players

Everyone Nitrado has seen on this server, with the platform ID Valheim actually needs. Steam has no name lookup, but you can convert a profile link into an ID at steamid.io — paste just the number here and the panel adds the Steam_ prefix for you.

Careful: adding anyone here makes the server invite-only — everyone not on this list is blocked. Leave it empty unless that is what you want.

        What Valheim actually reads

These are the raw files from savedata/. They are the source of truth for admin rights — the API view above can disagree with them. One ID per line, in [Platform]_[UserID] form (e.g. Steam_76561197960287930), copied from the in-game F2 panel or looked up at steamid.io . Restart the server after editing.

        Reading the world file…

Not loaded — the offline map runs a full world generator in your browser, so it only starts when you ask for it.

Two maps, and what each one is

        • Live map (top): served by the ValheimOne BepInEx plugin running on your server, on port 8790. It re-draws from your world seed and updates in real time — player positions, and optionally ships, carts, portals and tombstones. This is the one to use while the server is running.
        • Offline map (below): generated in your browser from the world seed by the third-party site valheim-map.world. It needs no mod and works with the server stopped, but it is static — no players.
        • Player dots depend on in-game sharing. ValheimOne respects each player's "visible to other players" map setting by default, so a player who has switched that off will not appear.
        • Your live map is publicly reachable at http://<server-ip>:8790 while the server runs — anyone who knows the address can view it. Player names are hidden from that public view by default. Set an AccessToken in valheimone.cfg if you want it locked down.

Modifiers recorded in the world file

        —

What the world has actually baked in, read straight out of the world file. If this disagrees with the Server settings tab, the server has not been restarted since those settings were saved.

        Reading…

        Worlds

Valheim stores each world as a folder in savedata/worlds_local/. The World name setting must match a folder exactly — if it does not, the server generates a brand new world under that name instead of failing. Change it under Server settings.

        World backups

Nitrado takes these automatically. The API can list and restore them but cannot create one on demand — use the Nitrado web interface for that.

        Scheduled tasks

Nitrado runs these on a cron schedule in your server's time zone. This is the real daily-restart mechanism — there is no setting for it on the Valheim side.
